Daisy is a German Shepard – Pit Bull mix that was abandoned in the countryside near Parlier nine years ago.  Left to survive on her own, she was thin, unhealthy and had been the victim of other vicious dogs that roamed the area.  One day, she noticed Adam Avedikian as he inspected insect traps in a nearby orchard.  She followed Adam as he walked throughout the orchard.  She had adopted Adam, even if he didn’t know it.

When Adam took her home the first thing his father, Jerry Avedikian, said was, “I don’t want a dog!”  But Daisy knew better; Daisy always knows better. Soon the bond grew and Daisy was an important part of the Avedikian family.

Two years later that bond would be severely tested.  Daisy was the victim of an accident that left her with only three legs.  At this point, Jerry “I don’t want a dog” Avedikian and his son happily paid over $2,000 to save their beloved Daisy.

Today, you might see Jerry taking Daisy for a daily walk where she inspects everything new in the neighborhood.  Her missing leg doesn’t appear to impact her zest for life; especially when chasing gulls along the shoreline.  Her favorite thing, besides Jerry and Helga Avedikian, is anything brought home in a restaurant takeout container.  Once you meet Miss Daisy, you will have a friend for life; especially if you bring her a treat from Kady’s or Dorn’s restaurant.
